Snowy Sunday!

This post could also be called cold Sunday or really really muddy Sunday. So, on Sundays, my parents like to take the dog for a walk, and invite me along. Sometimes I say no, but today I said yes and went with them. We pretty much spent the entire day there, and the scenery was fantastic!

My dad told me to bring the camera to try and take pictures of the dog, but he's actually incredibly camera shy, so it can be pretty difficult to get him, I usually have to take one from quite far away and just zoom in lots on the camera, otherwise he just runs off. I think he doesn't like the little red light that shines from it when it's focusing. It can't be that he's insecure of how he looks, because he's a beaut, even with his silly odd eyebrows! He loved the weather though, and I swear he never runs out of energy, he just keeps on going and going and going and going...

I've had it pointed out to me that I dress to match the colour of my hair, and this outfit is no exception, I never really think about matching my hair though, it just happens. Also, my dad found my headband infinitely amusing and kept calling it my "bunny ears" because of how they stuck up, and after a while I caught myself calling it that as well. I'm not actually much of a fan of this photo, but it was getting colder and my parents were trying to hurry me up, so I didn't have time to try for a better one. Oh well.

We ended up staying until the sun set, and by then I'd lost the feeling in my feet and wind was blowing right into my eyes... Getting back in the car with the heating on felt like heaven!

I really wanted a nice hat to wear, like a cute bowler hat or something, but it's hard to find one that I like and fits my head because I had a rather big head. I suppose I'll have to keep hunting until I find one.

Weekly Nail Challenge #1

I can't even remember the last time I painted my nails! Which means I probably haven't since 2012, so to get back into it, I've decided to do a weekly nail challenge (idea taken from here), and document it on this blog, because, hey, it's relevant and even if it wasn't, well, it's my blog. Anyway, I think I may have been a bit too ambitious and I;m definitely out of practice, but despite that, my nails didn't turn out dreadful. My inspirations were leopard print (I think that's obvious, really) and just wanting to try out a bunch of new nail varnishes that I got for Christmas.

As you may or may not have noticed, the "black" that I used is actually dark navy blue! This is because I've misplaced my black nail varnish, I haven't used a top coat either, because that has also gone missing, I think a trip to Superdrug is in order...

First Post!

I've decided to make a new blog! Anybody who knows me is probably very much aware that my track record with blogs is not all that great... I tend to neglect them either through forgetfulness, lack of motivation or a lack of confidence, however, this time I'm going to try and keep up with it, mainly by being more organised with it. Sooo... Wish me luck!

Anyway, time for an introduction, my name is Chelsea, however, I will also go by Chels, Marie or, if we're communicating via internet, Red. I currently live in Chesterfield, England and I am a language student. I like quirky items, tea, music from times gone by (particularly the 70's and 80's), history, languages and video games. I'm currently at the stage where I have no idea what I would like to do with the rest of my life.

As you have probably gathered from the subheader of this blog, I will be writing about tea, style (refraining from the word fashion here, because I don't really follow the latest fashions), history, books and some adventures too. I might occasionally blog about one or two other things as well, but I'll try not to stray too much.

And that about sums it up, sorry about how short this post has been. Hopefully people will enjoy reading what I put, I'm actually quite excited to get back into blogging again! So, see you soon!
